Re: COMP: help - wierd characters/formats

I am not sure I can help with specifics but i would
like to voice an opinion. I hate abbreviations. They
are often confusing and depending on format save a
minimal amount of space. I have eliminated many from
the SIGNA checklist. I found that out of 4,000 entries
and 200 pages spelling out standards and falls only
added 2 pages. Considering the more abbreviations a
newcomer to Iris has to look up the more off-putting a
checklist is. Somehow the fact that experienced
Irisarians can easily interpret this gobbledeegook
does not really indicate any real knowledge of their
subject. I would like to see all iris checklists more
new user friendly. for what it is worth --Bob
