Betty -- I harvested 2009 seeds this past year, in 64 pods, for an average of 31.4 seeds per pod. Eight of those pods had fewer than 10 seeds, including 3 with only 1 seed, and one with only 2. The three fullest pods had 73, 70 and 68. I had multiple pods on several plants, the winner being seedling 02F1, with 4 pods, followed by Don Spoon's Will Scarlet and Mego's Slovak Prince, with 3 each. -- Griff

Been there done that . . .100 seed with 112 survivors! I don't count the
ones that look immature, but throw them in anyway! Who knew??

What is your average seed count per cross? Are you setting multiple pods?



Make more crosses! If you don't cross them, you can't plant them!
