RE: COMP:formats

Betty when you compose your e-mail you are using Rich Text Format (HTML). Iris-Talk is set up to convert to Plain Text Format which has one font and no colors. So it is not AOL's fault. Plain Text allows no attachments to prevent viruses. Iris-Photos allows RTF.

When I copy something for a quote I leave three lines of blank space between the quote and the beginning of my post. <
I believe this is something you are doing, mabe not.

I got a free year of AOL when I bought my last computer. I chose not to use it. I had a good ISP then. Have cable now. I dislike AOL.

The word wrap thing. Well Chris fixed that a few years ago. Then something he did changed it back. He e-mailed me that John did not want it to be changed. I am referring to the archives. Iris-Photos does not come to my e-mail box.

John said it works ok in a Mac. Anner maybe he want all of us to get a Mac :-)

It is such a hassle that I seldom read long text strings in iris-photos.

I'm quite frustrated with aol at the moment.

When I copy something for a quote I leave three lines of blank space between
the quote and the beginning of my post. AOL is removing the space and
running together the quote and the first paragraph of my post. If I use colored
type it removes the color. Same with other distinctions. If I remember to
place a line between them, it helps. But I don't always remember.

Also in the photo archives my post sometimes have the run-on problem. The
lines are only in proper order if one uses the hard return at the end of each
line. Personally, I've been spoiled by the automatic wrap feature.
