Getting ready for next year's purchases, I've been rummaging around in
the online checklist, trying to find introductions from "wet" summer
areas that have Ghio, Keppel, or Blyth introductions in their
pedigrees.
I'm wondering if I might be better off trying to get hold of some of
these 'next generation' introductions rather than trying to use GKB
intros.
Niswonger (Missouri) and Burseen (Texas) introduced a few. Several
different folks used AURA LIGHT, including Griff. Robin and Betty are
going to have some to introduce one of these days.
I can't think of an easy way to ferret these out other than searching
for all the intros from GKB for each year, then searching back thru
pedigrees for each introduction. I'm not going to live long enough to
be able to do that for these three prolific hybridizers!
Any of you know of "wet summer" hybridizers who have incorporated GKB
parents in their breeding programs? Most descendants that I've found
in the checklist seem to be from dry summer areas (west coast or Oz ).
