Re: RE: HYB: No-take tags

Mary,

Oh, it must be your numbering system I copied. Only instead of retagging the way you do I write the number directly on the forming pod. If you use a fine point ball point pen you can scar the surface of the pod. Then... no worries about lost or illegible tags.
But sometimes its tricky to write neatly on the pod too...

--Saving pollen - If you're saving whole anthers, the whole thing needs to be
dry.

Speaking of DRY, I was looking at an ad for a food dehydrator the other day. The one I was looking at said that some brands leave a dry surface with moisture trapped inside- "a perfect environment for yeast, mold, and bacterial growth." That kinda sounds like some of my seeds when they rot...

Has anyone ever tried to dehydrate seeds in a machine like that? Or pollen for that matter. I suppose the trick with pollen would be to contain it while you were drying it....

  --Never tried those press-n-seal
things. Can you reclose them?

Yep that's supposed to be it's claim to fame.

  Christian
