I showed English Boxes the past two years.  We have to have a theme  for our 
boxes like all selfs or all plicatas.  The name of each iris has to  by each 
iris and the name of the theme has to be on the box as well.
 
The past two years I picked the irises the day of the show and assembled  the 
box at the show within a few hours.  The problem I noticed that the  irises 
are still relaxing.  So by the time the judges get to the box, the  falls have 
sometimes settled enough so that they are touching the box ( a  no-no).  I was 
going to try this year cutting the flowers the night  before.
