Anner, ethylene is in the scientific literature as a benefit to
germination of some seeds. I have <no> idea if it could work for iris
seeds, but certainly won't hurt anything.
Various kinds of gas exchange in soil (and burritos) as seeds get ready
to germinate. This one easy to use, but might have been of more use if
I'd used it earlier.
Yes, I've moved some of the burritos into the house where it's a bit
warmer than the sunporch. On top of the digital cable tv converter box,
it's a bit warmer than the rest of the living room. I turn it off at
night - varies between low 60s at night and about 68 to 70oF during the day.
