Iris - well, they are frozen.Seedlings are growing on the sun porch, where it's been cold enough most nights to accumulate chilling for ungerminated seeds (<40oF). The other day, I found one seedling in one of the burritos that I hadn't been checking regularly had 3 leaves and had grown <through> the paper towel. It was in the wine cooler, which has a glass front, so was actually able to produce green pigment. Tough lil dude.
On to the off topic: They now have live video cameras traveling with the crop of endangered whooping cranes learning the route south.
Trike camera (attached to the lead ultralite), live somewhere over Alabama: http://www.wildearth.tv/web/omi-trk-01In the mornings and afternoons, handheld camera at the traveling pensite or broadcasting trike preparation and take off.
