I looked further at more pictures and can see some larger photos when you click on the thumbnailb& great! It kind of appears there is lots of white space and could be more room to set the thumbnails a little larger, like 2 x 2 inches. I donbt know if youbre planning to set a maximum in terms of thumbnails per variety, but it sure looks at the moment like there is room for quite a few!. One thing to consider, is where PC monitors and resolutions are going, in the future. Monitors have changed dramatically in just a couple of years, and old standards are disappearing fast. Ibve seen a trend of moving to the high resolution, 1280 x 1024 screens, and I know it takes a bit to get use to, but I see that size being the standard in not too distant of the future. Thatbs the standard in colleges today, and many offices are installing dual monitors, so that is in our future as well. That size of desktop gives one a whole lot of space for photography, and so I donbt think the worry should be bare we crowded or do we have enough space for a slightly larger thumbnailb. As long as photo contributors send in images at the 72dpi resolution, one neednbt be worried much about someone btakingb a photo for other commercial use. About the only place you can use 72dpi is at a webpage, as printing it results in a blurred photo. For those who may not know, photo dimensions, in pixels, is easily seen when you look at your file detail list in bMy Computerb. The wiki photo database is looking great to start though! I have noticed that some photos do not fill the page. My hypothesis for what is happening is that when the person reduced the size of the file they did it by making the canvas or photo size smaller instead of lowering resolution. I know we have all have e-mails that have photos and it is common for people to have problems with size. I am not that computer literate to know why every file can come out differently. I suspect with the multitude of photo programs out there there may be many reasons. At this stage of development there is so much work that I have not been able to troubleshoot this but it seems to be intrinsic to certain people entering and I think ultimately we will find what they are doing differently. ----- Original Message ----- From: "K. I realize it's still in it's infancy and I don't know what is planned. One thing I think the world/public will want, which Dave's Garden already has, is larger pictures. That's something I'll really like about Dave's Garden; the public is able to contribute significantly sized pictures and they are beautiful!
