The historic catalogs will also be viewable on the Iris Encyclopedia in the newly developing Iris Library. look for Library in the Index on the Left bar highlighted in yellow. I have permission from Cooley's and Schreiners to put up all of their catalogs but simply need to locate copies and scan them. I would like permission fro all nurseries to do this for their catalogs also. I have the 100 catalogs that John is putting on the e-membership site to put onto the Encyclopedia but it takes me much longer. You can though, see about 80 catalogs that are already visible in the Encyclopedia if you follow the links. Hint look in index under catalogs and or Library. Linda we are presently listing all hybridizers and linking to there pages where one will find eventually all their introductions listed, their awards, and links to their catalogs. I just need more workers who are willing to work on this. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Linda Mann" <101l@rewrite.hort.net> To: iris@hort.net Sent: Wednesday, January 21, 2015 9:13:06 AM Subject: Re: [iris] Historic Iris Catalogs Great! ;-) Has anybody put together a directory of hybridizers and their locations? If not, I'd be willing to edit and clean it up (i.e., remove duplicates etc) if somebody will scan the info from the cumulative checklists into an editable file. Is there software now that can convert jpg of text into a text file?
