Vermiculite for seeds


I used vermiculite for many years.  The coarse type works quite well, the fine
has to be watched much more closely to maintain the proper moisture content.

I switched to perlite because it's cheaper, easier to find, holds moisture as
well as the coarse vermiculite -- and it's MUCH easier to dig brown seeds out of
white perlite than brown vermiculite!
