Bill is correct. Most "virus warnings" are simply hoaxes or jokes that
use well-meaning people as unknowing instruments in spreading clutter
throughout the internet.
There are also, of course, occasional legitimate warnings. However, IRIS-L
is *not* an appropriate forum for posting such warnings. There are
newsgroups and mailing list devoted to virus reports and similar topics.
Although people who pass on virus warnings to their favorite mailing lists
do so with the best of intentions, this is *not* a good idea. Please
do not be tempted to post virus warnings (or other flavors of "urgent
internet announcements") to Iris-L.
