Hi everyone,

After an absence of about 2 months, I'm back. I took a trip, mostly to
India, with shorter stays in Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Nothing
to do with iris, but thought some of you might want to know where I've
been.

For those that don't know me, I am on this list mainly because I am Terry
Aitken's son, and he doesn't have email, yet. Terry Aitken is the Editor of
the AIS Bulletin, and I do the graphic design and layout. I also maintain
the official AIS website.

Since I was gone for such a long time, I didn't have much to do with the
upcoming January Bulletin. I did get them started before I left, then
turned it over to the printing company to complete. There were a lot of
last minute changes and additions required, however, so I don't know how it
will turn out. With the changes, the holidays, and the printing company
moving, the January Bulletin is extremely late. My poor dad is having a
cow. It is just going in to print now, and may not get mailed till the
first of Feb. I expect the next one will be a bit more timely.

I am aware that the AIS webpage is woefully in need of an update. I meant
to do it before I left, but got too busy. So now it is _really_ out of
date. Sorry. I plan to do an update soon, but have patience. It is one item
on a long list of things I need to catch up on (one of the hazards of
leaving the country for 2 months).

Finally, I noticed that there is a new person on IRIS-L with a similar
email address:  Brad Kasperek goes by ZEBRAIRIS@aol.com, while mine is
zebra@chcs.com (I have had mine for a couple years, and Zebra is the name
of his commercial garden, so I doubt either of us is willing to change it).
Please try to be mindful of this. To try to reduce confusion, I will
always begin and end my email with my complete name and email address. If
you are quoting either Mr. Kasperek or myself in a reply to this email
list, please try to remember to include the name.
