Re: cold?? (was AOL grouch)

Ellen.  Right on about the weather here, - Durham is right next to Chapel
Hill, and we live in the extreme west of Durham.  July and August are almost
terrible with the heat.  But there is much less snow here than there was in
Western Ontario, Canada. Also much less ice, but we had a real doozy of an
ice storm three years ago, and another two years ago.  So far, all clear, but
certainly cold. I agree that it may be harder on some iris here than it was
up in Ontario, but as of rme, I can enjoy walking withoutout the fear of
slipping on ice, most days.  DAve Niswonger and his wife started off in
