I HEARTILY AGREE . Parentages should be published. This is often  a very good
warning not to buy, on the one hand, - - and to be sure to buy on the other
hand.  There are exceptions, of course. A cross of two inbred lines is quite
likely to yield some very hardy offspring.  One of you suggested lengthening
the trial period  before giving awards. That would give a much more accurate
