	It's not all that hard.  D C is HUGE and everybody knows that bigger is
better.(-;  Witness the fact that a small TB gets overlooked all the way
around.  Even in the Medians people like bigger.  Who cares what the
standards say.  Batik wins over and over even when the cut stalk exceeds
the ht. limit for its class.  
	In truth that is not D C's only redeeming quality.  It also puts out
beautifully branched show stalks, handles the weather well, has great
color saturation, high bud count, good substance, and a very pleasing
form.  Admittedly it does not increase as fast as some others in my
garden but when it blooms it is gorgeous and most people can pick it out
of a batch of other purple iris so it also scores points for
distinctiveness (even if some of that is due to size).
