There is some demand for almost all iris species. Some of the ones that have
a special demand are I. florentina, I. germanica, I. graminea, I. setosa (all
forms and colors), I. ensata (the species type), I. tectorum (violet and
white forms), I. cristata, I. gracilipes, and of course any species or near
species that likes to live in or near water, e.g. versicolor (many forms),
virginica, fulva, brevicaulis, hexagona, laevigata, pseudacorus, etc. (The
popularity of garden ponds in U.S. has created a nice market in these).

And don't forget the Louisiana iris LITTLE BLACK GAMECOCK. It has a species
look to it, and is a huge seller. One big fish hatchery and water plant
seller lists it for $15.00....I usually sold it for $6.00 (And could not keep
it in stock even though it grows like a weed!) Also, suggest ROY DAVIDSON,
PHIL EDINGER, and HOLDEN CLOUGH. The form of pseudacorus most wanted when
people see it blooming is usually I. pseudacorus bastardii---the pale yellow.
