Rick Tasco wrote his reaction to FA on seeing it in Schreiner's
display, that it had all the indications of bloom-out right there.
I found that interesting, because when I raised the question of FA at
last Saturday's meeting of our Siouxland Iris Society, asking if
anyone had tried to grow it, Larry Harder said exactly what Rick has
written, The only difference was that Larry also found it such a
gorgeous and stunning flower that he ordered it anyway, expecting it
would bloom out or nearly so. AND that's exactly what happened in
his garden in Ponca, NE (Northeast Neb.) I think I've read enough on
this list to convince me not to waste my money on FA. It also re-
inforces what I concluded early on in my iris-fanatic days: see
things growing for yourself and examine closely before you spend any
money.
