Re: Dykes' Derby 97 (was Dark Horse)

I wanted to stay quiet, but since so many have said so much, I want to add
that I am "Grandpa" to THORNBIRD, and proud of it. I did a show in Indiana
about six years ago, and showed a picture of THORNBIRD. It riveted everyone's
attention, and several afterward wanted to know where they could order it. I
think it shows up best when the projections are just "thorns". When it opens
these into spoons, it loses its name value, and loses some of the
"threatening appearance". Lloyd Zurbrigg, Durham, NC Zone 7.8
