My brother, the game warden, was visiting this past week. Last year I
collected seeds from wild onions which grow in abundance in my yard, which
he planted several inches deep and thus got no results. He was planning to
use them as an ingredient in barbeque cookoffs, which he has been entering
for several years. When I came home from work Monday, he was preparing to
dig some to take home and plant. Problem was, he was eyeing a clump of
dutch iris. I haven't tried them in stew or sauce, and frankly would
rather not. Guess it could have been worse. There were clumps of species
type daffodils he could just as easily have been after.
