Here it's quite warm (upper 60's, nearly 70 yesterday), and has been
raining, raining, raining. There has been some minor flooding, and at
least one dam has overtopped in north Georgia. Some additional rain
expected today. Temperatures are supposed to start dropping tonight --
I hope all my foolish plants that have started growing again (or in some
cases never became dormant) aren't all killed.
In Winchester, Tennessee (southern middle portion of state, not too far
north of Alabama), at least one school district is closed due to
flooding. My mom, in an adjacent town, is really worried about damage
from her iris that were planted this fall floating away -- it's still way
to wet and muddy to stomp them back in the ground.
