This morning I posted a homework
assignment to the list instead of
sending it privately.
Hybridizing lessons have gone off-list
for two reasons: 1) few people like
having their homework critiqued in
such a large, public forum, and 2)
if an answer is dead wrong it's not =
good to have it archived for posterity.
But, on reflection, I've decided that this
might have been a fortuitous mistake.
Posting assignments publicly should
give more people an opportunity to
participate. It's the flood of incoming
homework that we need to keep off
the list. =
If you choose to join in -- WELCOME!
But if you want me to check the answers
you've come up with, please send them
to me privately.
The point of this morning's assignment =
is not the specific answers you might
come up with -- they are in the Checklists.
The benefit is the exercise you have to go =
through to get to the answers. Looking up
the iris in the CL and finding out who the
hybridizer was. Looking up the hybridizer
and finding out where he or she lived.
