Chad, what you describe sounds just terrific. I wish I had enough "flat
places" to attempt something like this -- most of my gardening is done
on a steep slope that we've terraced into beds of various shapes & sizes
but these are too narrow, front to back, to incorporate anything like
your layout.

Any chance we can look forward to photos of your "river of iris" next
spring or summer?
