Just a note that in the new issue of Horticulture magazine, there's a paean
to I. unguicularis, along with a lovely photo, written by Pamela Harper. If
any of you Virginia-area people know her, let her know it's very
appreciated. She obviously knows and loves her winter iris.
Barb in Santa Fe, where I'm wishing it would be possible to breed an
amaryllis that smells like an iris. Or smells like anything, for that
matter.
