I think this is one of the best issues of ROOTS I have seen. A main
feature is an article by Lynn Markham of Massachusetts about Dr.
Robert Graves and Ed Watkins of Concord, New Hampshire and their
breeding program of bearded irises in the 30s, 40s and 50s. This
renewed my interest in a Graves-Watkins Memorial Garden in Concord,
New Hampshire, the state capitol, which is in USDA Zone 4.
