Claire, hi! When I first tried spurias, I didn't realized how picky they
were about drying out before planting, and I'm afraid I let the rhizomes dry
out, resulting in very uninspiring performance, i.e., death. The next ones
I got were (I think) from Ben Hagar in California; they were very carefully
packed, and I got them into the ground right away before they had a chance
to dry perceptibly. All three of them did fine and are still out there (not
that you'd know right now--they go absolutely dormant).
