Greetings,
Here--assuming it all lines up correctly-- is the 1998 Commercial Source
Listing from the Historic Iris Preservation Society, that section of AIS that
deals with irises more than thirty years old and historically important
species.
This information will be published in the 1998 issues of ROOTS, the twice
yearly journal of the Society, and will be included on the HIPS webpage, but,
because this new list will not be published until the Spring issue of ROOTS,
which members will receive in April or May, and because some people may wish
to request catalogs from these sources before that time, I am bringing it to
the attention of the Iris-l now. The following nurseries have all shown their
support of HIPS, and of ROOTS, by financially underwriting the Source Listing
page in our publication.
HIPS cannot, of course, guarantee satisfaction in any individual commercial
transaction, but I thought those of you who are interested in the older
cultivars might enjoy knowing who has chosen to advertise to our membership.
