The problem with establishing an elaborate protocol of restrictions and
prohibitions, especially in cases where violations are hard to prove, is
that only the conscientious are deterred. I believe such an approach would
do more harm than good and generate more ill will than good sportsmanship.
In any case, I tend to agree with Rick Tasco that none of the practices
Walter has listed seem particularly offensive to me, though, like you Mark,
there are hardly any of them that I bother to engage in.
