      Let me clarify the original issue:  Does I. versicolor occur in
Florida?

     I am certain that this is what happened.  This type of thing has been
known to happen before.  When it comes to this subject, I feel that Rodney
Barton's North American Native Iris Page is the most reliable source
around.
