I agree with Bill Shear on this. It is very hard to reconize
I.Va. and I. versi. difference. Best way maybe the seed pods, I got
a excellent paper from Tony Huber on this. I was trying to learn
and had sent him information that I had taken from his and from Sacks
and Schaffer articles. Getting the I. versi information was easy,
but finding information on I.va. was hard. I grow a lot of different
clumps of each. I gathered a lot of I. va. from the wild and
I. versi I grew from seed and I did buy a few plants of I.versi.
sometimes the plants of I.versi just sit there a couple of
inches high when they are planted in the ground, when they are in
pots with drip dishes underneath which I kept full of water they
grew normally. I find that I. va. does not have that problem.
