I talked to Penny at Amity's Books for Gardners this past week. As I
mentioned to the list, Amity's will no longer be issuing a catalog and
selling books that way. However, they are still in business as American
distributors for books published abroad that are not generally available in
US book stores. I suggested to Penny that she might want to get in touch
with Grosvenor's publishers to explore the feasibility of distributing the
book for them in the US. Perhaps the agreement not to sell this book in the
US before 1999 would prohibit such a possibility, but perhaps there are
other books list members might want that Amity's could carry. It would
surely make it easier for us than having to make individual orders abroad.
Something to think about -- could benefit us and Amity's, too.
