My mother, as well as many people in Mass and Maine grow I cristata as
well as gracillipes, and, with a bit less sucess, I tectorum, so I can
personaly vouch for the hardiness of these evansias. Cristata is native
to both Alabama and Georgia, So it may do in deep shade in Florida as
well. We have many different ones and await bloom on POWDER BLUE GIANT,
which is a gigantic form.  (about two times the size of the common form.

In maine, where it actually broke freezing by several degrees outside
today! Well, at least the greenhouse is 75 degrees.
