RE: CULT: New Colors

I was thinking grey too, Kitty. The ones that come to mind are Suspicion by
Keith Keppel which also has yellow tones. I couldn't decide if I liked it
or not, but it was definitely new to me. Another one is Ghost by Perry Dyer
which I think is a very nice clear grey. It was slated for introduction
this year -- did Perry ever get out a catalogue? I think Nessie SDB falls
into the same class -- but think of reptile grey. I kept taking a second
look at it in the garden every time I did a garden walkaround.

In siberians, the new yellow-grounded varieties by Schaefer-Sachs are
exciting. Banish Misforunte is almost a plicata. It is blue on pale yellow
with great vigor -- 6 stalks on a first year plant. I haven't seen bloom
yet on Dandy's Hornpipe which is a red on yellow but more of a blend than
plicata.

In JIs, I would say a good clear pink and Pinkerton would be an example.
There's also one by Dirigo but I forget the name.
