I have had an unusual, for me at least, occurance in two of the pots of iris
held here
for our Christmas in Sept. Two of the same variety started rotting from
the leaf down, and when I cut off the leaves to try to stop the rot, I found
what looked to me just like corn ear worms. I killed them, cut the leaves
back to the rizome, and sprinkled the cut with with Comet. This is the
first experience I have had with worms in bearded (or any other kind) of
iris. Might this be your worm?
