O K Jan l am a lurker l guess. l have many iris and l love my iris. In
my part of Ne. iris only bloom a short time. l am envious of those that
have such a long bloom time. l don't have named iris. l call mine simply
standards, exotics and smell wells. "Listening" to all of you l am
looking forward to harvesting seed pods from my exotics next year and
even will attempt some cross pollination. Maybe l should hunt for an
iris society in my state. l am not a great traveler. l don't know what
all the abbreviations you all use are yet. l do wish some really
knowledgable person could see my iris in bloom and tel me what l have.
l would love to get into this more but all l have are the names given to
order by. There is no classification when l order and certainly none of
the technical stuff mentioned in iris-talk. l keep coming back because l
really want to learn. A lurker looking to get educated. Laureen
