Re:OT:ALCOHOL AT IRIS FUNCTIONS

We have our meetings at members' homes--a Pot-Luck Dinner--every
month--(Iris and FOOD Society) and there is usually beer in the summertime,
one member usually brings a couple bottles of wine--and there is never a big
deal made about it--
When we are working at our club garden--it usually is hot--and we usually
have beer--
after our sale we all retire to a member's place and celebrate with Pizza,
Chicken and beer--and again--no big deal--
At our tour--for the public--we used to serve Margaritas or some other drink
like that--but decided it was wiser to not serve alcohol to the public, so
now we retire to a member's home and toast our success with beer and
Champagne--
At our Christmas party--at a member's home--there are many varieties of
drinks offered--and wine--and you can have a drink or not-again--no big
deal--
(WOW--in rereading this--it sounds like we really do drink a lot --but since
our meetings are at private homes--we do not have to worry about the 'rules
of the house')
The only problem now is--we have so many new members that we are out-growing
most member's homes--so who knows what will happen then??? We are looking
for a place to hold our meetings--where we can continue to have the monthly
pot-lucks--and if we find a place which does not allow alcoholic
beverages--guess we will stop having our wine and beer- or else find another
place--
Carryl in western Montana--zone 3/4--where my order from Superstition Garden
came in--with so many extras that already I am out of room--and three more
orders are due next week--so, as usual--twill find a spot for them--out go
more veggies!!!
