Wow! I didn't realise that anybody paid much attention to my ramblings! However, words spoken from the heart usually find their rightful place. If those words are said with enthusiasm then everything else follows.....

I have personally found that the greatest benefit to subscribing to this list is the plethora of people on it that I have "heard about" for years but have never had an opportunity to meet in person.

Living in the Land of Oz could have something to do with that!

However, I must say that it was a real buzz to attend my first AIS convention in Dallas last April and be able to put faces to the email addresses I had been reading for such a long time. No doubt others felt the same way.

So, instead of having to start off every conversation "cold" I could launch into great chats about gardens, common friends, etc. with people and it felt like I had known folks for ages (despite having never met them before!). THAT, I believe is the power of this list.

A common interest is always a good catalyst for friendship, but friendship only happens if you want it to!

I'll go back to weeding, mulching and feeding now. Bloom season is only about 8 weeks away now - I can hardly wait!

Cheers for now,
Heather Pryor
