Mickey, Different newsreaders handle threads differently. Most of the time
the archives will just have one post after another in the thread regardless
of the date/time written. AOL doesn't AFAIK do threads. You can't tell
where you are in the thread by looking at the list of posts. That's why I
don't use it except for this list.
I don't know how compuserve (your newsreader) handles it, but in my regular
newsreader you see each thread in a separate heading with people's responses
indented under it. If you change one word of the thread, that type of
newsreader starts a new heading. I think the archives does the same. It
doesn't matter in AOL because the threads aren't separate to begin with.
