Dear Cindy,
I don't think it was as much the arils as it was the hot and dry that
turned your
sedum into Frito plants. Every summer here when we dont water the sedum in
rock walls around our pool, they dry up, but always come back when the
weather gets cooler and more moist. We have had the same seedum for 30 years
and inspite of summer drouth, it always returns. Although our seedum isn't
with the arils, the arils don't inhibit the weeds at all.
