I'm a fairly new list member, but I've been lurking for a
little while, picking up valuable information along the way.
Some of us have difficulties reading those USDA zone maps,
so I suggest going to this site, and entering your zip code:

I hope this helps others nail down their hardiness zones
at times of uncertainty.
