Do you have the borer? If he eats the mother rhizome the increases are weak
with only a few ratty leaves I find. Also I have nice large rhizome increases
if no borer around but small if he is. I hate the borer and am having a hard
time to get rid of him even thugh I do everything right. Now I am trying
grubex to see if that will get him in between cycle stages.
