SIB: from Siberia? Yes and No....

I will quote from the definitive source on this question who is
Dr. Currier McEwen and he tells us some did and some didn't
originate in Siberia in his book, The Siberian Iris. 

The conventional wisdom has been that no siberian species
originated in Siberia but that assumption is false and you can
_blame_ Linnaeus. Within in the series Sibericae there are two
subseries: Sibiricae and Chrysographes. The species found in the
Sibiricae subseries are three: I. sanguinea, I. sibiricae and I.
typhifolia. 

Evidently Linnaeus confused I. sanguinea which is native to
Siberia and I. sibiricae which is native to Central Europe. For
greater detail refer to 'The Siberian Iris', p. 2.
