I doubt that anyone that has not created such a database could possibly
understand the job; but that should not restrict their appreciation and
admiration for those that can and do. Becoming computer half-literate in
later life, I have been in awe of search engions in general. I'm impressed
by a simple sort, never mind the filters I've learned to operate in Excel,
etc. I only regret my brain is not able to wrap around it all. If only the
days were a week long!

Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on your view point, my creative
instincts far exceed my electronic abilities. I still prefer my portable
data base--just got the 1999 check list in yesterday's mail--but have great
appreciation for, and will use, the electronic version. Thanks, John, for a
terrific effort and accomplishment!
