My friend Bobby Baxter has stirred up some debate with his questioning the proper medium to dispense Iris registration data. He has even received what he perceived as "hate" mail over this. I hoped none of us had that much of a closed mind to change.
He makes some good points and I also think that some day we all will want photos of the flowers in the data base as well. Then you will not need to have three or four different color reference systems to know what some of the colors are. Maybe with continued advances with ditigal photography we will not need to know the correct filters to use with Kodachrome film when shooting blue iris!
As to what to do with unsold I&R books, I am sure the monks in the 16th century had to wonder about all their scribes after the printing press was invented.
