I have a camper parked on a lot on a lake. I planted Pseudacorus, I. Fulva
and Black Gamecock at the edge of the water by my boat dock. This year the
Pseudacorus and I. Fulva bloomed great. When the Blackgamecock was to bloom
I went to see them. They were gone, just the Black Gamecock.
I was up set at first but I remembered that as long as no one is there that
owns them it is ok to take them. They were saving the poor abandon iris, it
wasn't stealing. Someone needed to rescue them.
This is a true story. Just something to think about when you are rescuing
those abandoned iris. They belong to someone. If they would have taken the
trouble to find out whose dock it was and ask, I would have given them a
start.
I was going to plant several LA's there, but why bother now.
