Sometimes ducks and geese will make a meal on the young green foliage. Was
this iris near the edge of the grouping so that they came to it first? Just
at the young and tender eating stage? Also, my gamecock comes up a little
later than my lighter colored LAs do? Hope there is a root left that will
come back for you.
