Re: TB: Spring Parasol/Afternoon Delight

John,

My Spring Parasol has not bloomed (three years now) but has not died
either, so I still have hope. It's those veins that attracted me too.

I too am in love with Afternoon Delight. Made a huge clump its
second year, with so many blooms they kept falling off and coming
inside for water-lily-type display. It also set a number of pods, so
I'm going to be excited to see what comes of them.

Rainbow Hues also bloomed this (its first) year, but produced no
progeny. I like it too, and have plans for crossing with Yours Free -
- my favorite new iris this year. It's virtually indescribable, but
gorgeous, the blooms rimmed with a sort of rhubarb rose, and pollen
up the kazoo. I love it! Big plans for it next year. Comes on
pretty late, so I've frozen some pollen for next year.
