I grow a few dozen arilbreds, and I treat them the same as TBs. Some
grow just like the TBs and are indistinguishable until they bloom,
while others do indeed go dormant during the summer losing their
foliage. With your usually dry summers, I'd suspect you could treat
them just like your TBs.
