I believe I saw a response on a similar thread a couple of years ago.
It seems the solution is to put up one of those (rectangular) wire farm
fences to the height of 5'. Then run a red ribbon thru it at the 4' level.
Seems the deer can see the red much better and assume that it is the
top of the fence. They think it is easily cleared, but bang their legs and
are repelled instead. After a few tries they give up. I don't know if it works,
but I wouldn't mind sitting down with a few cold ones and watching the show.
