I am digging up a portion of the drainage swale to use for LA's. It
is a heavy clay composed of the infamous red Virginia clay and a
mixture of gray and yellow clay. The ground stays moist but not wet.
I want to add water crystals to the soiless mix I'll use as the base
for the plants and incorporate it all into the clay soil.
I guess how much is too much? Has anyone used the polymers for this
purpose?
Rain has deserted us for 8 days and with temps in high 90's and 100+
the ground has become a concrete.
